Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum DOE

Teaching Personnel are proud to be an approved provider to a College Trust in the Cambridgeshire area. We are working together to recruit for a Gas & Plumbing Trainer Assessor, to start from May on a full time, permanent basis. We are looking for someone to take overall responsibility for an agreed caseload of learners to provide high quality training, coaching, mentoring, instruction and assessment to learners to achieve their apprenticeship and/or qualification in a timely manner.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaise with all parties (employer, learner and college) to complete the learner sign up process in line with the College procedures, ensuring that all required documentation is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure that assessment of learners starting points is used in planning and sequencing their learning regarding English, Maths and KSB’s.
- Design and agree training plans in the appropriate area, providing support to learners to meet the content of the EPA. The learner programme is flexible to meet formative and summative assessment to respond to individual needs.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers throughout their programme, ensuring that all learners are aware of Careers Information Advice and Guidance and Wellbeing available to them to support their progress. Ensure that the learners individual training plan and content prepares them effectively for EPA (where relevant).
- Plan and prepare learners for assessment, gateway, and EPA, ensuring a clear understanding of the gateway(s) for each standard and how these are clearly planned into the learners individual training plan, including timescales, content and locations.
- Plan and deliver training sessions on employer and College premises as required to develop the learner’s knowledge, skills and behaviours. For apprenticeships, support, advise and guide learners through their EPA in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- For this role, a minimum Level 3 qualification would be required within Plumbing and/or Gas Engineering.
- An Assessors award is essential, whether A1, TAQA, IQA or a V1 Assessors Award.
- Prior experience as an Assessor would be ideal, whether on site or within an Education setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
