We are looking to recruit recent graduates of Maths, English, Science, Languages or Humanities backgrounds who are looking to proceed into a career in the education sector.
Working with a number of teaching schools in the Salford, Chorlton and Central Manchester area, Teaching Personnel are rolling out our Future Teachers Programme to support these secondary schools and colleges. The successful graduate of one of the above subject specialisms will benefit from a full year of work within one of our partner secondary schools. This will be a full 360 degree role involving supporting students in your specific subject. You will take on the role of a teaching assistant, working with groups of students, tutoring them and providing intervention. There will be the opportunity to observe lessons, how to plan and mark and work with experienced teachers and senior leadership teams.
The successful and confident graduate should be a prospective future teacher as they will be placed in a single school for the full academic year becoming a part of the school based team. Following this placement, you would then have the opportunity to progress onto a teacher training programme with a partner teaching school if applicable.
Highlights of the future teacher programme:
- Earn up to £1200 per month for the full academic year 2019/2020
- Full time future teachers programme involving teaching assistant, cover, observation and administrative duties gaining invaluable experience
- Work in a highly supportive environment where the school will develop and nurture the right skills to become a future teacher
- Work within your specific subject department, providing intervention and support to students that require stretching and challenging
The schools we work with are situated in the areas of Salford, Central Manchester and Chorlton in south Manchester. They are highly supportive given their experience of having graduates work within their school and have dedicated development programmes set up to support the appointed graduates. Given the multiple options of schools, graduates from any area of Greater Manchester will find one easily accessible given the public transport links that service these schools.
Any graduates of a Maths, Science, English, Languages (French, Spanish, Mandarin or German), and Humanities (including History, Geography, Religious Studies) background are highly encouraged to apply now for immediate consideration. Working with multiple schools, there are opportunities to start at the beginning of the new academic year in September but also at the beginning of October once students have started and settled in.
If you are interested in this future teacher's programme and are keen to become a teacher in the future, apply now using the link below attaching your latest CV along with a covering statement. Please contact Teaching Personnel, Manchester South Secondary for any further information.
