Do you wish to become a secondary school teacher, but want to gain further school based experience?

Teaching Personnel have created a 'Future Teachers Programme' alongside National Leaders in education to support the recruitment of Graduates who wish to gain further experience before joining a teacher training course.

This programme will allow Graduates and aspiring teachers gain an introduction to a Bolton based secondary school in September where you will have the opportunity to work on a full-time basis as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant position - Future Teachers Programme
  • September 2019 start, guaranteed work for the full academic year (2019/2020)
  • Graduates of all specialist areas welcome to apply for this position
  • Competitive rates of pay with earning potential of up to £1300 per month.
  • Secondary schools located across Bolton and Greater Manchester

Roles and Responsibilities of Graduate Teaching Assistants

The appointed Future Teachers will have the opportunity to work closely with the department of their specialist subject supporting them in various roles;

  • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions to boost grades
  • Delivering pre-planned lesson cover with the support of the class teacher
  • Reporting back to experienced teachers and the Head of Department

Throughout the Future Teachers Programme, full support and training will be provided to ensure that all Graduates are receiving the best possible preparation before commencing a teacher training programme in the future.

**Previous experience working with children and young people is desired for this position**

Successful Future Teachers will be placed within a secondary school in the Bolton area and will be required to work full-time for the full academic year (2019/2020). Following the successful completion of the course, successful graduates will have the opportunity to join various teacher training programmes with the support of Teaching Personnel.
