Future teachers programme

Teaching Personnel are seeking graduates who are looking to kick start their teaching career, by gaining valuable teaching experience before undertaking a PGCE in the future. We are looking for graduates who have a degree in one of the main core subject areas, to undertake the Future Teachers Programme.

The Future Teachers Programme is led by our partner secondary school in central Manchester. It is a full time role for the full academic year and will consist of;

  • Working as a Teaching Assistant within your specialist subject area
  • Learning how to plan, deliver and assess lessons on your own
  • Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Providing interventions within your specialist subject area
  • Receiving weekly training through our clients secondary school

The school are looking for highly academic graduates teaching assistants to school within English, Maths and Science. The incoming Graduate teaching assistants will ideally have a degree in English, maths or Science and will have the opportunity to gain the skills and experience to become a teacher in the future. You will work in a variety of classes supporting learners and working alongside your mentor seeing the day to day experience and profession of a teacher.

The ideal Graduate were are looking for to undertake the Future Teachers Programme, will

  • have had previous experience working in a teaching environment with secondary school students
  • have a passion for teaching and the well being of young students
  • have aspirations of pursuing a career in teaching
  • be available to commit to a full time position, for a whole academic year
  • have a degree in Maths, English or Science
  • have the confidence to support secondary school students in your specialist subject area

The secondary school that we run our Future Teachers Programme in, is located in the heart of Manchester, making it accessible to all graduate who live in the south of Manchester. The secondary school offer extensive support throughout the Future Teachers Programme, helping you to gain the best teaching experience possible.
