What is the Future Teachings Programme?

The Future Teachers Programme is a scheme across England & Wales,designed to help address the current shortages of teachers, by attracting and supporting graduates who are considering a career in teaching, but wish to gain paid school based experience prior to starting a teacher training course.As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will engage in multiple different tasks. These tasks can range from supporting pupils 1 to 1 or in small groups to assisiting class teachers across all departments. You may be gettting involved with assisting the teacher in planning a lesson or even involvedwith planning/delivering your own lessons!

The Ideal candidate:

• Will have some experience of working with children
• To be educated to degree level (Applications are welcome from graduates across all subject areas)
• Good communication and literacy skills
• Able to assist students of different abilities.
