Seeking a new an exciting opportunity in a Primary setting in the Enfield area?

Are you experienced in supporting children with additional needs; specifically those with autism?

Are you looking for an inclusive and nurturing environment to take your next step in specialists support?

Then this one on one autism support position might be the ideal next step for you! Teaching Personnel are working with a well established rated 'Good' school in Enfield to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work directly with a Year 1 boy with autism, to start ASAP until the end of the academic year (July 2019).

The school:

Located a stones throw from Tottenham Hale Train Station this school has excellent public transport links as well as on site parking. A picturesque Victorian building newly refurbished with modern facilities throughout. The school is 4 form entries with a dedicated and experienced existing staff offering plenty of support. Senior leadership are big on developing all staff members with termly reviews and training offered to all.

The candidate:

The school are looking for a dedicated autism experienced Teaching Assistant, ideally with previous time supporting one on one special needs children, someone who has a basic understanding of behaviour strategies and reward systems techniques. The successful candidate will be tasked with helping to keep the child focused on work, settled in class and that they are consistently developing their social skills.

  • PECS/Makaton understanding or training desirable
  • Previous experience working with children with autism
  • One on one experience desirable
  • Available immediately
