MFL teacher - French and Spanish

  • Full time position teaching French (GCSE) and Spanish (KS3)
  • Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school located on the border of Bury and Manchester
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant upon your scale point

Modern Foreign Languages teacher (French and Spanish) required within a Bury secondary school.

Due to an unexpected absence within the MFL department of this 11-16 mixed sex secondary school, our client seek to appoint a MFL teacher on a full time basis from September 2016.

*Full time position – Initially 1 term with possible extension

*Teaching French to both KS3 and GCSE (Ability to teach Spanish to KS3 desirable but not essential)

*Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school located on the border of Bury and Manchester

*Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant upon experience

Teacher Requirements

*Hold UK QTS and hold a PGCE in MFL

*Ability to teach French up to GCSE level and Spanish up to KS3 (Minimum)

*UK QTS and a PGCE or equivalent specialising in French or Spanish

*Driven individual with a proven record of achieving excellent results

Located close to Prestwich, this is an average sized Secondary School with just under 1000 pupils on roll across key stage 3 and 4. The MFL department have consistently achieved excellent results throughout recent years and the successful applicant will be joining a well facilitated department with supportive staff. You will join an experienced faculty with 6 staff members, including subject specific support assistants.

To be considered for this position applicants must be able to ensure that pupils of all levels of ability are extended towards the limits of their individual capabilities within a well-ordered, caring environment. You must have experience teaching French up to GCSE level and be comfortable teaching Spanish across KS3 to be considered. The school will consider both newly and fully qualified teachers.
