Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a large mixed comprehensive Secondary school, located towards the East of Oldham Town Centre.
Due to an unforeseen absence within the Technology department, the school wish to appoint a Food Technology teacher to join their team from January 2018. This temporary full time Food Technology teaching position is initially being offered for two terms, until the end of the academic year 2018/2019 but may be subject to continuation into the new academic year (2019/2020).
The school are welcoming applications from both experienced and newly qualified Food Technology teachers - it is essential that the successful Food Technology teacher has experience teaching both Key Stage Three and GCSE.

- Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)

The incoming Food Technology teacher will be required to take on a full timetable, including planning, marking and delivering practical lessons. Full support will be provided, alongside continuous professional development training courses (CPD) throughout the position.
With consistent grading's of 'Good' in all recent inspections, this school takes pride in ensuring both staff and students are cared for, and can excel in everything that they do. The Technology department has recently been refurbished, resulting in state of the art facilities and larger spaces for learning. Both Key Stage Three and GCSE pupils achieve well in Technology, and this attainment is expected to rise again this academic year. The successful Food Technology teacher will be expected to track progress and identify areas of support.
The school is located towards the East of Oldham Town Centre, and is easily accessible via car. Neighbouring areas, including central Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale also provide a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school.
