Food Technician – Secondary School
Location: Basingstoke Area
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Part-time or full-time (depending on availability)

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hampshire is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Food Technician to support their Food & Nutrition department from September 2025. Role Responsibilities:

Support Food & Nutrition teachers during practical lessons
-
Prepare ingredients and equipment for lessons in advance
-
Maintain cleanliness and safety within the food technology rooms
-
Ensure the pantry and store cupboards are well-stocked and organised
-
Carry out weekly shopping for fresh ingredients
-
Assist students with food preparation and hygiene routines as needed
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Have a keen interest in food preparation and organisation
-
Be reliable, well-organised, and able to manage their time effectively
-
Work well as part of a team and show initiative
-
Have experience in a school, catering, or kitchen environment (desirable but not essential)
-
Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Hygiene certificate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
