Teacher of Design & Technology
Location: Basingstoke Area
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPR/UPR (dependent on experience)
Suitable for: ECTs, unqualified teachers, and experienced teachers

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Design & Technology to join a thriving and forward-thinking secondary school in Hampshire. The position is ideal for a teacher with a passion for innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning.
The department is well-resourced and delivers a broad curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. Subjects currently taught include Product Design, Textiles, and Food Technology. The school also offers GCSE Design & Technology, along with vocational pathways in Food and Textiles.
The Role:

Deliver engaging and creative Design & Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4

Inspire students to develop technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and creativity
-
Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities, and departmental development

Be part of a collaborative and supportive teaching team
The Ideal Candidate:

Has strong subject knowledge in one or more areas of DT (Product Design, Food, Textiles)

Is passionate about practical learning and student progress

Brings energy, commitment, and a willingness to reflect and develop professionally

Is either an experienced practitioner or an early career teacher with a desire to grow
