Specification
The school wants to meet a positive individual who has already held a school-based position and CACHE Level 3. The school wants to see candidates who have effective and clear communication skills and specialist subject/SEN knowledge gained from previous experience and training. The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant must have the skills to demonstrate a desire to teach and take care of the pupils in your care. With this in mind, you have to be able to demonstrate a versatile approach within the school, and be willing to co-operate with a range of SEN children.
EYFS TA Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will be operating as a class assistant for a high-spirited Reception class of around 27 pupils. You will have the responsibility of improving your skills and knowledge through ongoing CPD and building confidence in your abilities by working alongside a mentor Class Teacher.
You will have the responsibility of helping with the pre-class preparation, as well as updating old lesson plans and coming up with new and exciting activities. This EYFS TA position involves supporting the teacher with the workload as you lead classes of your own, whilst you must be able to lead 1:1 lessons based around phonics and EAL.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
