Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant / Nursery Practitioner

Location: Ellesmere Port, CH65 / CH66
Contract: Day‑to‑Day / Flexible Supply
Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £14.25 – £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a range of friendly and well‑established nurseries and early years settings across Ellesmere Port, who are seeking Level 3 qualified Early Years practitioners to provide flexible, day‑to‑day support.

These roles are ideal for dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS professionals who enjoy variety, flexibility, and making a positive impact during children’s early developmental stages.

You will be supporting children from birth to five years within nursery and pre‑school environments, contributing to high‑quality care, learning, and play experiences.


The Role:

As a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant / Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide high‑quality day‑to‑day support within nursery and early years settings
  • Support children aged 0–5 through engaging, play‑based learning activities
  • Deliver activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children with routines, transitions, and personal care where required
  • Encourage social, emotional, and early learning development
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with nursery teams, room leaders, and managers
  • Maintain positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

Each placement may differ, offering variety and valuable experience across different settings.

Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from candidates who:

  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification (essential)
  • Have previous experience working in nurseries or early years settings
  • Are caring, enthusiastic, and confident supporting young children
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Are adaptable and enjoy flexible supply work
  • Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
