Behaviour and Intervention Teaching Assistant

Teaching personnel are currently working in partnership with a Primary school in the WF5 Area to recruit a Teaching assistant specializing in delivering Interventions and also with experience in Behaviour Management. The position will be for 5 days a week.

The school prides itself in providing a safe and nurturing environment for its pupils through;

• Developing childrens awareness of their own self worth

• Helping them become independent and self motivated in their own learning

• To raise attainment so all children reach their full potential

You will work on a 1:1 and small group basis alongside the class teachers to promote positive behaviour at all times and support the teacher in raising attainment through intervention sessions in Literacy and Numeracy. We also require an individual who is able to work as part of a team and has experience in managing negative behaviour effectively who can be nurturing and a good role model.

Teaching personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates applying will be required to undertake or already have a Full Enhanced DBS check on the Update service. We offer competitive rates of pay along with a choice of day to day or long term placements.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
