Exams Manager – Dorchester

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced and highly organised Exams Manager to join a secondary school in Dorchester.

This is a key administrative position responsible for coordinating the school’s examination processes and ensuring that all internal and external examinations are administered accurately and efficiently.

The Role:

• Coordinate the planning and administration of internal and external examinations.
• Liaise with examination boards and relevant external organisations.
• Organise examination timetables and rooming arrangements.
• Coordinate examination invigilators and staff rotas.
• Ensure examination regulations and procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate examination records and documentation.
• Manage entries, amendments and results.
• Support students and staff with examination-related queries.
• Ensure examination materials are securely stored and handled appropriately.
• Work closely with senior leaders and relevant school departments.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in an examinations or school administration role.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Confident communicating with staff, students and external organisations.
• Good IT skills.
• Able to work calmly under pressure.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection.

Previous experience working with examination boards and school examination systems would be highly advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
