Exam Invigilators Required - Oldham

Are you interested in supporting secondary schools in Oldham through invigilating exams?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with several of our partner schools in Oldham, who are in need of exam invigilators over the coming months to support a busy exam period. This is an opportunity for flexible work, with no experience necessary.

  • Flexible working schedule
  • Potential to lead to other roles within secondary schools including Cover Supervisor and Teaching Assistant work
  • Earn up to £11.50 per hour, paid weekly

Teaching Personnel are the marker leaders of education recruitment and work with a number of secondary schools across various areas of Oldham including Chadderton, Hathershaw, Failsworth and Uppermill to name a few.

As an exam invigilator, you will be expected to work alongside the lead exam invigilator and:

  • assisting with setting up exam venues by laying out stationery, equipment and exam papers in accordance with strict procedures
  • assisting students at the start of exams by directing them to their seats
  • advising students about possessions permitted in examination venues
  • ensuring that students do not talk once inside examination venues
  • invigilating during exams, dealing with queries raised by students
  • checking attendance during exams
  • recording details of late arrivals
  • escorting students to and from venues during the exams when required
  • supervising students whilst outside exam venues
  • collecting exam papers at the end of the exam in accordance with strict procedures
  • ensuring that students leave venues in an orderly and quiet manner
