- Pupil behaviour described as exemplary in most recent Ofsted inspection
- Easily accessible via nearby motorway or numerous public transport links
- Full time English teaching requirement
- April 2018 start, ongoing requirement in department
Our client school is a joint faith secondary school, serving both parishes in the local community. The school is much smaller than most secondary schools with less than 700 students currently enrol, though heavily oversubscribed as the school of choice for a number of parents and students in the local area. In recent times, the school has recently been renovated and expanded to ensure students and staff can benefit from the very best in terms of resources and facilities for learning. The school was most recently graded as Good by Ofsted across all areas and the behaviour of students was noted to be exemplary throughout, including during lessons. The school currently exceeds the national average in both attainment and progress, particularly in core subjects with more than average number of students making expected levels of progress in English.
The incoming English teacher will join a skilled and successful department, with a proven track record of delivering excellent results at both Key Stage 3 and GCSE. The department has outstanding provisions for learning and the incoming English teacher will join an established team with pre-existing schemes of work to support them in their transition into the department.
If you are an English teacher looking to secure a position at an excellent school in Rochdale, then please apply via the link provided or contact Kirsty Henegan at Manchester Secondary directly via the details provided.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
