Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a Trafford based secondary school for a Full time English teacher to cover for a paternal absence. The start date will be for mid-November until the end of term potentially for 5 week period. The English department will provide ready made planning for the new English teacher, making the post Ideal for those who are looking for a lighter work schedule. At the end of this temporary period, there is the opportunity for secondary school to provide a long term permanent contract.
Newly Qualified Teachers in English are welcome as well as an experienced English Language or Literature teacher. If the candidate were to continue after the temporary period, the English teacher will be expected to plan and prepare their own work for the classes. The school's English Department has been established within the Trafford area, making it great environment to develop teaching skills.
The secondary school has a train station nearby as well as having good motorway links for those who drive. The school has a high number of engaging students with a recent increase of EAL and SEN students. This can benefit those who are experienced with EAL or SEN but it is not essential. It is essential for this position to have a QTS with experience teaching English. Within the criteria it is also essential to have or be eligible for an enhanced DBS and to have suitable teaching references.
