I have an exciting opportunity in a Behavioural Unit in the Preston area!

The School are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to run an Isolation Room within the School.

The role will require you to work 1:1 or on a small group basis with pupils who have been removed from their lessons, often due to their behaviour.

You will have sole charge of your own Isolation Room and you will be expected to work with the pupils on a 1:1 basis with the work they will be bringing from their class.

The pupils WILL display challenging behaviours and many of the pupils will often have EHCP's and may have special educational needs including Autism, Anxiety, ADHD and Mental Health Difficulties.

The School are looking for somebody who:

- Is looking for a medium-long term, full time role

- Has strong behaviour management skills

- Can show empathy for pupils who are struggling in class

- Can manage their own time and their own classroom (although you will NOT be expected to plan or prepare any work)

This role would be suited to a Teaching Assistant who is looking for the next step in their career or a Cover Supervisor/Teacher who is looking for a Support role in a behavioural setting.

The role will likely start in January and the School will want to meet candidates over the next two weeks. The role is full time and is likely to continue until at least Easter.

The pay for this role will be between £250-300 per week and candidates will be expected to complete one voluntary day in School.
