English Teacher (KS3 and KS4) required for a secondary school in the Canary Wharf area (£28,000 - £45,000)

The School

A secondary school in the Canary Wharf area is seeking an English Teacher to work full-time teaching KS3 and KS4. The school offers fantastic opportunities for progression and development through many CPD courses and departments full of supportive staff.

The school is constantly improving and it has done this by implementing an effective behaviour policy. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong behaviour management skills in order to implement this policy.

The Role

**English Teacher - East London**

**English Teacher - Canary Wharf**

The school's successful English department is seeking an English teacher to work full-time. You will have outstanding qualifications, experience and be able to educate your students to a level where they are always improving. This role is perfect for an established English teacher, seeking a new challenge and work in an ideal teaching environment, with fantastic support and progression. The role is also suitable to an English Teacher NQT who is seeking experience in a school offering fantastic progression.

Requirements

  • Possess a "child only" DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one (£44).
  • Ideally hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE etc.)
  • Ideally have a degree in English or similar subject.
  • Have experience teaching English to a class of 30 at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Have a passion for teaching English and the ability to educate and motivate pupils so that they achieve their full potential.
