English Teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
A medium-sized, rural school near Yate, South Gloucestershire is looking for an English teacher to start with them ASAP!
You must have QTS and have at least one year's UK school experience. NQTs can apply as long as both placements were completed in the UK. Ideally you will have taught English and English Literature up to Key Stage 5 although this is not essential.
The school is happy for full-time or part-time as there is a possibility of a job share. This role will start on a supply basis but would likely go on to contract providing both parties are happy with the progress. If you would prefer to stay on a supply basis, this is okay too.
The school has high achieving pupils but in recent years haven't met expectations of the local area and in currently at "requires improvement" status from OFSTED. Behaviour is very good so the real head ways that need to be made are in academic achievement.
If this is of interest for you, please get in touch immediately. I look forward to hearing from you.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
