English teacher required at Trafford secondary school

Required to cover maternity leave at our client school, a qualified English teacher looking to secure a long term position from January, delivering English to KS3 and GCSE groups.

- MPS on offer initially, first term on supply if required

- School located on tram line and can be accessed on public transport from Manchester city centre

- Ofsted “Good” school with excellent commitment to behaviour and safety

- 12 month post initially, could extend beyond this

Our client school is a mixed comprehensive in Trafford, with around 800 pupils on roll, making the school smaller than those of the national average. The school serves a diverse catchment area, most students on roll come from the areas of Stretford and Urmston. There is a strong community feel around the school, with a positive climate for learning in which students are encouraged to achieve academically. The school was recently observed by Ofsted, and received a grading of “Good” with behaviour and safety being a key feature in the school. There is a welcoming environment to the school, with the incoming English teacher being supported by the faculty lead and lead practitioner during their appointment.

To be considered for this post, you must hold QTS or be a newly qualified English teacher looking to secure a long term position. The school requires the incoming English teacher to be experienced delivering English literature and language at GCSE.
