An exciting opportunity for an English Teacher to join a large secondary school in Salford has become available for September 2023.

Are you an expereinced or ECT English Teacher looking for a new opportunity for September 2023?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large secondary school in Salford who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and vibrant individual to join their English Department.

Job role:

  • Full-time English position.
  • Teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Must hold subject specific qualifications within English.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified English teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£28,000 - £43,685 per annum)

The successful candidate will also be expected to assess and evaluate class work and report back to Senior Teachers to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives. The school also expect the incoming English Teacher to promote positive behaviour management amongst pupils whilst managing behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

The successful educator will be expected to support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for English, including both Language and Literature alongside planning, preparing, and delivering differentiated English lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels of learning.

Our client school is based in Salford and can be accessed via the M61 and A580 from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester for those who have their own transportation. For non-drivers, there are several forms of public transport with links to areas such as Bolton, Bury, Leigh and central Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
