English Teacher – Denton, Greater Manchester – September Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join the team at an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school located in Denton, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time position starting in September, covering a long-term absence with the potential for extension or a permanent contract.

The Role Includes:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

• Preparing pupils for their GCSE English Language and Literature examinations.

• Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Tracking student progress and contributing to department assessments.

• Participating in whole-school and departmental CPD and development initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in English or a related field.

• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.

• A strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam board specifications.

• Passionate about inspiring students to develop a love for English.

• Committed to promoting high standards and raising achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
