Teacher of English- September

  • Full time English teacher post -starting September 2017

Are you an English teacher seeking an exciting new opportunity?

Our client secondary school located in Rochdale is currently seeking a teacher of English on a full time basis to start in September 2017.

• Full time English teaching post- September start

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 to different ability students

• High quality professional learning to promote career development

• Pay scale in line with the MPS/UPS

This is a mixed 11-16 secondary which is situated in Rochdale, the school is easily accessible via the M62 and surrounding areas Central Manchester, Oldham and Bury. In recent years the school was established through the collaboration of two local schools and serves the diverse local community, with the majority of students being from minority ethnic backgrounds. There is a large proportion of students of the Pakistani heritage so the proportion of students that speak English as a second language is well above the national average. Due to the improvement within teaching and learning there has been a vast improvement in student’s attainment and progress with the school currently having a p8 score of +0.17.

The English Department is a large, highly successful and well-respected department within school and is well resourced. All the Staff within the department are hardworking, committed and forward thinking. The English department are looking for a passionate teacher of English that is able to deliver differentiated work to cater to all abilities and raise progress and attainment. Both experienced and newly qualified English teachers are welcome to apply.
