Early Career Teachers for Durham Secondary Schools
£130–£160 per day
Just qualified and want to build up classroom experience without jumping straight into a permanent contract? Teaching Personnel has flexible ECT work across Durham secondary schools - anything from 1 to 3 days a week (more if you can travel easily).
What the work looks like:
You'll step into classrooms when teachers are off - lesson plans are provided, so you're not starting from scratch. It's a mix of subjects and year groups depending on what comes up.

You'll need:
- QTS (or equivalent)
- To be an Early Career Teacher
- Decent classroom presence and communication skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- Flexibility - no two days are identical
Getting started:
We can get you cleared and working within about 15 days. Once you're registered, we'll match you with schools based on your subject, location, and what you're looking for.
Pay: £130–£170 daily depending on experience
Location: Durham and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible - 1 to 3+ days per week

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
