Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an experienced EYFS practitioner to take on an interim position in a Primary School based in Bredbury, just outside of Stockport. This role does have the opportunity of being extended, depending on the success of the candidate and their integration with the EYFS team.

The position is full time, 5 days a week supporting an EYFS class and is set to begin this September. The successful applicant will work to support the Nursery and Reception classes which are housed in a separate facility to the main school.

 

Ideal applicants will:

• Have previous experience working in an EYFS environment

• Have a patient and focused attitude towards the educational development of young children

• Willingness to support and contribute effectively towards the learning outcomes of each class

• Be able to build relationships with the children and staff

• Support the class leader with planning, monitoring and assessment.

• Be willing to work full time

• Be happy to help with some personal care duties.

 

This Bredbury school have insisted that all applicants must have previous experience working in the EYFS, and this is because the school is a pupil focused environment that prides itself on the success and development of the children that attend. Therefore, it is essential for the pupils to have someone with prior experience in order to achieve the best results possible.

In your role you will be expected to actively contribute in class activities and provide 1:1 and small group support when needed, as well as general support for both the pupils and the class teacher if they require it.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
