Early Years TA

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working person for a position in Chichester.

The role will be supporting a child on a 1 to 1 basis for 5 days a week on a full time basis. The role will be to start ASAP and will be continuing into next year.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Maintain a high level of support for the child's needs
• Implement learning activities to enable the child to have access to the planned curriculum
• Help the child to develop social skills and facilitate interactions with their peers
• Have a willingness to learn new skills
• Be cheerful, flexible and approachable
• Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and to work as part of a team.
• Be able to work independently and with initiative
• Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children 
• Have the ability to support the development of the child’s social and self-help skills
• Work closely with and be accountable to the class teacher, who will give guidance on the nature and extent of the support and supervision
• Have a good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices
• Plan and review regularly with the class teacher
• Meet regularly with the SEN co-ordinator and contribute to Individual Support Plans
• To have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
