Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School in Nelson who are in need of a skilled Teaching Assistant to work full time in the Reception class. The Head Teacher has expressed that she is looking for an eager Early Years Teaching Assistant who has the ability to support Reading and Writing activities and would feel confident delivering Interventions to small groups of children in the Reception classes. The school are well equipped within the early years however they are expecting 7 pupils starting reception with complex & additional needs including Autism, EAL & global learning delays.
The Practitioner must be dedicated and passionate, who has an encouraging personality and who will help the class settle into school life & be bale to support children with additional needs. The position is to start in September and will be for the full year after governors granted additional funding the support the class.
You will need to hold the following;
- Experience in EYFS or School environment
- Available for full time work
- Enthusiastic and passionate about the Early Years Sector
- Level 2 qualified or above
- Core Subject Knowledge of Maths and English
- Good behaviour management skills
- Experience of supporting children with SEN
- Experience of delivering Phonics
The salary is based on a 6.5 hour position, Monday to Friday, and depending on experience, this could vary between £9.50-£10.50 per hour.
