A large modern multicultural secondary school in Oldham are seeking an EAL Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full time basis for the remainder of the academic year, with the opportunity of a permanent contract.

Do you have experience supporting individuals who speak English as an Additional Language?

Do you have experience working within a secondary school, or have transferable skills and would like a change of career?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large modern secondary school in Oldham that requires a full time EAL Teaching Assistant to join the school at the soonest convenience. The incoming Teaching Assistant will be responsible of supporting pupils on both a 1:1 and group basis whilst assisting them to reach the curriculum through increasing their reach with the English language. Whilst working as an EAL Teaching Assistant at the modern secondary school in Oldham you may also pick up additional language, such as supporting pupils with any additional needs that they may have, whether these are learning, SEN, SEMH or behaviour related.

The school is a large modern secondary school based in Oldham which is very highly regarded in the local community thanks to it's ethos and values and the strong support structure set up within the school. There are excellent teaching and learning facilities throughout the entire schools thanks to a recent refurbishment, giving the incoming EAL Teaching Assistant the best opportunity to fully support the pupils under their care.
