Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Drama graduate on behalf of one of our key client secondary school located between Wigan and Bolton.

Our client Secondary school wish to appoint a motivated Drama Graduate who ideally has an interest in becoming a teacher in the future.

  • Drama Graduate required ASAP
  • Temporary position with employment for the remainder of the year (2023/2024)

  • Earn between £84 - £100 per day

This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive secondary school where you will have the opportunity to gain experience, develop key skills that and be able to put them into practice within the classroom, all of which will contribute to becoming an ‘Outstanding’ teacher of the future.

The role will incorporate working within the schools Drama department providing support to the class teacher but will also give the successful applicant the opportunity to develop key skills in other areas of the school. The successful Drama Graduate will have regular meetings with senior members of staff where progress can be reviewed and targets set to improve practice.

What does the role involve?

  • Working closely with the teachers within the Drama department (Supporting them with the setup of each lesson, assisting with planning and ensuring that lessons operate smoothly.)
  • Working with small groups of identified pupils to raise attainment in Drama
  • Covering classes in the absence of the class teacher in Drama and other subject areas.

The class sizes in our client secondary school are small which allows teachers to enhance the learning opportunities for the pupils. In its most recent Ofsted report, the school was commended for the support the Senior Leadership team give to all staff which cultivates a high standard of teaching. It also highlighted that the pupils behave well and have a positive attitude to learning.

The school is located very close to the surrounding areas of Leigh and Tyldesley. This offers excellent transport links to Bolton as well as the Wigan borough.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
