Are you a Design and Technology teacher seeking a position in September?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside one of our client secondary schools situated in Salford to help in the appointment of a permanent Design and Technology teacher.

This opportunity would be ideal for a Design and Technology teacher looking for a permanent post as this post has arisen due to a gap in the department. The position would initially be payrolled through Teaching Personnel over the first 3 months, with a permanent contract available thereafter.

Highlights of job role;

  • Full time Design and Technology teacher required
  • Teaching Resistant Materials and Product Design mainly, KS3/GCSE
  • Excellent facilities in modern secondary school
  • Good accessibility from city centre via public transport (5 minute walk from nearest tram stop)
  • Payment in line with teaching scale point for duration of assignment

Situated on the Manchester and Salford border, our client is a small, well-established secondary school which is housed in brand new setting. Though smaller than the majority of other secondary schools in the area, the school boasts excellent facilities and a community feel in which students and staff all feel respected and encouraged to commit to high standards of teaching and learning. Since moving to a purpose built site in recent years, the school has gone from strength to strength in all measures, including progress, attainment and attendance.

To be taken into consideration for this position, you will need to hold a relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Design and Technology, previous experience teaching RM/PD at GCSE level, the ability to deliver engaging theory and practical lessons and a commitment to securing a long term position with a view to joining the school on a permanent basis.

If you would like to apply for this position, please send your CV and covering letter in response to this advert at your earliest convenience as the school intend to start interviews on the week commencing 1st July.
