Creative Mentor

Teaching Personnal are working with a Local Authority in Derbyshire who are in need of creative Mentors to work with LAC children.

The Local Authority support Primary and Secondary aged students who present with:

• SEMH and Challenging Behaviour
• ASC
• ADHD
• MLD and SLD
• Anxiety

They are looking for tutors/mentors who are are able to offer these students a creative education and a more pastoral type of support. They are particularly interested in individuals who have skills in the following subjects:

• Art and D&T
• Drama / Music
• Construction/ Woodwork/ Joinery
• Film/Photography
• Sports
• Cooking

As a tutor/mentor you would be requires to offer support to the student from a couple of hours to multiple sessions a week, and be required to complete weekly feedback on the students progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
