Are you an aspiring teacher looking to gain the necessary experience working in a school setting or an experienced member of staff looking for a new challenge?
If so, our client school in Oldham are looking to appoint a full time cover supervisor to join them from September, initially on a temporary basis though there may the opportunity to earn a permanent contract within the school.
Our client school is a large, well facilitated secondary in the heart of Oldham, a short drive from the town centre. The school was recently moved to a purpose built site and now boasts state of the art provisions for learning throughout and students and staff alike can benefit from modern facilities to enhance the learning experience. The school recently received a positive assessment from Ofsted with indication pointing to this school becoming a 'Good' school in the near future. In recent years, pupil behaviour has dramatically improved and a new ethos based on respectfulness has ensured students are behaving during lessons and around the school. The school is easily accessible via public transport links including bus and tram routes, and neighbours the M60 motorway for applicants that do drive.
During the post as a cover supervisor, you will;
- Cover lessons in the absence of designated teaching staff
- Ensure students are following schools behaviour policy during lessons
- Facilitated students learning and ensure set work is completed and returned at the end of lesson
- Support the learning of individual students when cover is not required
- Gain in-house training and experience to enhance your application for a teacher training programme
- Be paid in line with your experience (£50 - £70 per day)
