Cover Supervisor Jobs in Rochdale

Date posted : 15/10/19
£57 - 70 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Do you have experience as a Cover Supervisor or have you supported young people in a similar capacity? Maybe you are considering a career in education and would like to obtain further experience in a secondary school? If this sounds like you, there are a number of schools in Rochdale and the surrounding area requiring additional support in the form of Cover Supervisors.

As a Cover Supervisor you will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of a teacher for the day, as you supervise KS3 and GCSE pupils within lessons and deliver a pre set lesson plan in the absence of the teacher. This allows you to obtain excellent first hand experience of standing at the front of the class room, without the added stresses of planning and marking. Due to the work already being set, there are no formal teaching qualifications required, as you will simply be delivering the pre set lesson plan left by the regular school teacher.

  • Full time and part time hours available as a Cover Supervisor as you work around your own schedule dependent on the needs of your local schools

  • Competitive wage on offer, dependent on your experience and qualifications (GBP57-GBP70 a day)

  • Opportunity to work in a number of schools in Rochdale and the surrounding area, including Ofsted ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ providers.

This position would suit anybody who has previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or those who have worked previously as an Unqualified Teacher. However we would also welcome applications from those who have similar transferable experience supporting young people or from any recent graduates who are considering a career in education but would like to gain further experience within a secondary school setting before enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme.

For further information on the role of a Cover Supervisor or any of our other education related jobs in the Rochdale  area, contact the Manchester North Secondary branch of Teaching Personnel today. Alternatively for immediate consideration for this Cover Supervisor position, simply apply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV to request a call back.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
