Are you an graduate who wants to teach without the hassle of planning and marking? Perhaps you've recently finished university and are looking to gain more experience in education? This may be the perfect role for you!
Teaching Personnel are recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to service a number of our client schools in the Sunderland area. We are looking for a number of Cover staff to help fill short term Teacher absences and course cover, as well as PPA cover where necessary in a number of reputable schools across Sunderland. Whilst they do not require any formal qualification, experience within a secondary school setting would be highly advantageous. Experience working with young people or children in any capacity is essential.
The role consists of the following responsibilities:
- Completing pre-planned work that the absent Teacher has left
- Managing the behaviour of the class to ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Follow all instructions left by the Class Teacher or the department
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant experience within Secondary schools (preferred)
- Willingness to travel between schools in the Sunderland area
- A desire to develop your skills as a practitioner
It would be the perfect role for anyone looking to getting into Teaching or someone who has previously worked in a school setting. Cover Supervision is the best way to develop your behaviour skills and get a taste of what it would be like to be a Teacher in the actual classroom environment!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
