Are you an aspiring teacher or experienced TA looking for a Cover Supervisor position in an ‘Good’ school?
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to cover lessons during staff absences. You will be providing effective cover supervision for lessons on a regular basis, and providing stability and continuity for students whose lessons are affected by short-term teacher absence. Lesson plans and materials will be provided and your role will include registering the form and class, ensuring that students complete the tasks provided by the teacher and managing the classroom.
You will have the opportunity to cover a wide variety of subjects including Maths, Science, PE and Games, Drama, English, Humanities, MFL, Social Sciences, Creative & Performing Arts and Technology. Year Groups will include Year 7 – Year 11 across Key Stages KS3 and KS4.
This role will be well suited for candidates who are looking to start their career in teaching or experienced teachers or TA’s who are looking to change direction and move into Cover Teaching. We are interested in hearing from all candidates, no matter what point in your career you are currently at, and welcome flexible working arrangements. The role is 4 days a week, Tuesday - Friday and will continue until July 2020.
The school is a high performing, with an Ofsted ranking of ‘Good’ and oversubscribed. The school is ideally situated just five minutes’ walk from major transport links such as a train station.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
- Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team.
- Be passionate about the students’ learning and welfare.
- Be keen to be part of the wider school community, participating in extra-curricular clubs.
