One of our Partner Southampton based secondary schools are looking for a cover supervisor for a January 2020 start on a full time basis. The school are striving to become the leading school in the region with a continual commitment to improve; they aim to achieve this through their staff embracing their core values which include having self-belief and a positive mind-set.

The vacancy is a fixed 12 month term, however if the absent teacher returns before expected this may be reduced. On top of the regular role of a cover supervisor which includes covering lessons you may be asked to provide technician support in practical lessons, exam invigilation and general administrative support.

The successful candidate will have to have a real passion for helping young children to achieve and be successful by reaching their full potential. This role would best suit an individual who are able to encourage and motivate whilst being patient and firm with students to build a strong relationship.

The successful candidate would be joining a school who are apart of a wider network who really look to provide their students and staff with endless opportunities. This is shown within their recent ‘Good’ Ofsted report with the report citing “The school are very ambitious for the success of pupils and staff here and you drive improvement strongly and securely. You are supported in this by a strong senior team and effective middle leaders. ‘Learning without Limits’ is the clear message and the expectation of all”.

The successful candidate will:

•              Have a strong education background with a minimum of a grade C in GCSE English or Maths.

•              A degree in a curriculum is desirable, although not essential

•              Have previous experience working in a secondary education setting.

•              Able to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.

•              Have a strong self-belief and a positive mind-set.

•              Be able to build excellent relationships with students

•              Be patient and resilient.

The role would also be suitable for a recent graduate who is looking for paid work experience before applying for their PGCE or other ITT course.

The school are looking for the right candidate to start in January 2020, all candidates will be considered, and interviews will be arranged on application. The school are looking for the right candidate so the role will stay live until the right candidate is found.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
