Job description

We are currently recruiting confident Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Salford. This role is ideal for individuals with experience managing classroom behaviour and delivering pre-set work in a secondary school environment.

Cover Supervisors play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence and are key to supporting students’ progress throughout the school day.

The Role:

  • Supervising whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of the class teacher
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring students remain on task
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting pupils to engage with their learning in a calm and structured environment
  • Liaising with teaching staff and senior leaders as required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils
  • Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable
  • Educated to degree level or with relevant school-based experience
  • An interest in education or progression into teaching is desirable
