Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor

£100–£105 per day (Cover Supervisor rate)

Are you a graduate or aspiring educator looking to gain hands-on experience in schools? We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work as Teaching Assistants or Cover Supervisors across a range of primary and secondary schools in Wigan.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a future career in teaching, with training and progression pathways available.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom as a Teaching Assistant

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons as a Cover Supervisor

  • Working with students across a range of abilities

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Gaining valuable classroom experience in local schools

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduates or individuals with experience working with young people

  • Confident, reliable, and adaptable individuals

  • A genuine interest in education and student development

  • Strong communication and classroom presence

  • Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
