Maths Teacher

We are seeking a confident and reliable Maths Specialist to provide full-time cover at a secondary school in Rochdale. This role involves delivering pre-planned Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 and maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour in the classroom.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a future PGCE or teacher training pathway, or for those with strong classroom experience looking to further develop their skills in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Confidently manage classes of up to 30 students

• Ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher

• Maintain a positive, purposeful, and inclusive learning environment

• Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience covering KS3 and KS4 Maths in a similar role

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

• Confidence managing full classes independently

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
