Are you a graduate looking for flexible supply teaching work in Rochdale?
Teaching Personnel are working closely with our client school in Rochdale to recruit a Cover Supervisor to join their school from January 2019. Due to a gap in their teaching team, our Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' secondary academy is seeking to employ a cover supervisor on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to gain a permanent position.
- Paid experience in a classroom prior to starting teacher training
- Opportunity to work in an Ofsted 'Outstanding' secondary academy in Rochdale
- Applications accepted from graduates
- Full time working hours, although there is potential for flexibility
- Cover supervisor pay (£54-£70 a day - depending on experience)
Our client school is a large academy located in the Hollingworth area of Rochdale. They moved to a new build in 2011, which has provided their pupils and the local community with state of the art facilities in all subject areas which will enable us to further develop the academic, cultural and sporting interests of our pupils in an attractive modern environment. The school is easily reachable by public transport and is situated close to the M62 motorway.
"We are justly proud of the high quality education we provide. We have high expectations and insist on high standards: we expect all of our pupils to work with a fantastic attitude to learning and to behave in a way which shows respect to themselves and others." Headteacher.
Whilst working as a Cover Supervisor at our client school, you should:
- Be able to support learners in the absence of the classroom teacher
- Ensure set work is completed by pupils
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Be able to build and retain strong, effective relationships with young people
The ideal candidate should be a confident, motivated and professional individual and have experience working with learners. As stated, this is a great opportunity for graduates to get paid experience in a classroom, before they start a teacher training course in the future.
If you would like to apply for this post as a Cover Supervisor, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
