Location: Luton & Surrounding Areas Contract: Flexible / Full-Time / Term-Time

This role is the perfect "stepping stone" into education. You will gain high-volume classroom experience and build your professional confidence—all while working in a vibrant, local school environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you are the leader of the classroom when a teacher is away. Your focus is to:

• Lead the Classroom: Manage student behaviour and maintain a focused, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Facilitate Learning: Deliver pre-set lesson plans across various subjects (no subject-specific expertise is required!).
• Support & Inspire: Help students stay on track with their tasks and encourage them to reach their potential.
• Collaborate: Provide feedback to the school’s department on student progress and engagement during the teacher's absence.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience with children or young adults (e.g., coaching, youth work, tutoring, or volunteering).
• Confidence: The ability to command a room and communicate effectively with teenagers.
• Adaptability: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
• Requirements: Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check registered on the Update Service.
