Job description

The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality physical education lessons to students aged 11–16 (and/or 11–18). You’ll encourage students of all abilities to challenge themselves, develop resilience, and discover a lifelong love of physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver dynamic PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum

  • Teach a broad range of activities (e.g. games, athletics, fitness, dance, outdoor education)

  • Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes toward health and wellbeing

  • Assess, track, and support student progress and achievement

  • Lead and contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school events

  • Promote an inclusive environment where every student feels motivated and supported

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the wider school curriculum

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)

  • A genuine passion for sport, fitness, and youth development

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Energy, creativity, and a positive, can-do attitude

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
