Cover Supervisors for Secondary Schools in Bury

Are you seeking valuable classroom experience in secondary schools?

We are currently hiring Cover Supervisors for various secondary schools in Bury. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are confident, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting young people in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absences

  • Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students stay on task

  • Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies

  • Providing general support to departments and assisting with cover as needed

Who We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (preferred but not required)

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • Ability to be adaptable and confident when working independently

  • A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting learning

  • A current, enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to obtain one)

  • Ability to provide recent, relevant references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
