Cover Supervisor & Classroom Support – Stockport – September Start

Location: Stockport
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £89 – £110 per day

This is a varied role within a Stockport secondary school, combining cover supervision with general classroom support. Ideal for candidates looking for a role that blends teaching experience with pupil support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task.

  • Deliver pre-set work and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Provide teaching assistant support when not covering lessons.

  • Support teachers with lesson preparation and small group work.

  • Assist in the smooth running of the school day.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a school environment or working with young people.

  • Strong classroom management skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to different subjects and year groups.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
