Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large secondary Academy based in Salford to support with the recruitment of a temporary Cover Manager to join them at the earliest opportunity.
Due to a staffing restructure within the support faculty, the school are seeking to appoint a full-time Cover Manager to manage cover requirements for permanent staff members across the school. It is essential that the incoming Cover Manager has previous experience working within this field, has a working knowledge of SIMS and is available to start work from 07:00am each morning.
The Cover Manager role:
- Full-time position, starting at 07:00am until 14:00pm each day.
- Using SIMS and online logging portals to identify staffing gaps and arrange cover.
- Liaise with outside agencies if required to outsource external cover staff.
- Reporting patterns of absence to Senior Leaders and supporting the Business Manager to ensure no issues arise.
- Completing timesheets for external staff members and inducting staff members.
- Pay negotiable depending upon previous experience level.
The position is initially being offered on a temporary basis for one half term, with the view of extension for the successful Cover Manager.
It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of allocating cover on SIMs when permanent staff members are absent. Previous experience managing cover is also desired for this role, due to the fast pace and demands of the role.
Situated in Salford, our client secondary Academy can be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). For non-drivers, there are number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from neighbouring areas Bolton, Wigan and Trafford. The school has recently obtained Academy status, and due to this significant improvements have been seen in the management and leadership of the school, efficiency and results.
