Construction teacher needed
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with Pupil Referral Units (PRU) in Sheffield and are looking for Construction teachers to join these Secondary provisions. Pupils in the PRUs are at risk of being excluded or have already been excluded from their mainstream schools and most of them lack confidence academically. Your students will benefit from a hands on approach to lessons to re-engage them with learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Be able to manage behaviour positively in line with the procedures of each provision
- To engage, inspire and motivate your students and be an encouraging role model
- Co-ordinate and facilitate learning through child-centred activities in Construction
- Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to deliver effective lessons
- Aim to re-integrate pupils back into mainstream education or the next step in their lives
- Teach valuable life skills to students who learn better through practical lessons
Students within these provisions may display challenging behaviour so de-escalation training is preferred. Teaching Personnel delivers a Team Teach course where you can gain this valuable training which is widely recognised in all schools.
Other benefits from Teaching Personnel include:
- Access to our CPD Academy- an online portal with free courses focused on your personal development and a place to store your certificates in your own easy access portfolio
- The choice and variety to find what suits you- we have over 5,000 schools using us so you wont be short for choice
- Weekly pay with competitive rates (between £110-£165 daily for teachers)
