Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a supportive residential setting in Lancaster. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals committed to supporting vulnerable children with SEN and SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support, care and guidance to children and young people.
- Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment that encourages positive outcomes.
- Support the development of life skills, independence and emotional well-being.
- Work as part of a team to ensure individual care plans are implemented effectively.
- Manage challenging behaviour professionally and in line with the home’s policies.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and assessments.
- Liaise with external professionals, families and education providers as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a residential or care setting is desirable.
- A calm, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting children and young people.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
