We work with local authorities within York which offer fantastic provision for children who are Hearing Impaired or Deaf.
The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is able to use British Sign Language to support students when accessing their education.
You'll work alongside specialist Teachers and senior staff who all use BSL to deliver an exciting and creative curriculum, helping to deliver lesson explanations and objectives and providing any other support with students behaviour or personal needs.
To be successful in your application for Teaching Assistant, you must be able to provide proof of BSL Level 2 qualification and also be able to demonstrate other relevant experience such as working in education or childcare environments.
This opportunity is expected to last for at least 1 term with opportunity for extension depending on the authoritie's staffing needs.
Hours are 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday but you may be asked to do additional duties outside of these hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
