EYFS - Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support early years settings in the B48 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within supportive primary schools and help young children develop essential early learning skills.
You will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across Nursery and Reception, helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children with early learning and development activities
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Delivering small group and 1:1 support where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
- Supporting children’s personal care and wellbeing where necessary
- Observing and reporting pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children in EYFS, nursery, or primary settings
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of early years development and learning through play
- Relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to provide professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
